On Saturday May 20th, International Stars held its Spring dust off drive and Cars and Coffee in conjunction with Mercedes Benz of Ann Arbor electric dream car days. The day started off with about 50 members with their cars for cars and coffee. There were also two guest speakers. Nicholas Bissoon-Dath, the International Stars Section Treasurer and former Technical Editor of Car & Driver Magazine talked about the magazine's 10Best evaluation loop as well as the other roads in the area that were used to evaluate test vehicles and which were part of this day's driving route. Matt Turner, a former Porsche factory driver, talked about his experiences of driving in the British Supercup and US IMSA series, including racing at Le Mans and Daytona. After the short speakers, 20+ members went out for a drive through the scenic lakes area of southeastern Michigan. The members stopped for lunch at Zukey Lake tavern. Some members headed back to MB of Ann Arbor to test drive the many Mercedes Electric vehicles that were provided for members to drive after lunch. A very fun time for all!
